EUROPEAN INTEGRATION DAYS
Today our students from M4-D3 will take part In European Integration Days organized by the Academy of European Integration. Two debates are planned: one scientific in Polish “We in European Union. Today and tomorrow“ and the second one for students in English “Global Citizenship”. The debate should finish at about 16.30 and parents need to arrange transport for their children from the Academy at Mickiewicza street.
There are many other interesting points in the European Integration Days programme, for example:
Friday 16th September – 16.00 – rock concert at Mickiewicza 49
Friday 16th September – 19.00 concert in Philharmonic (quintet High Five Brass and men vocal ensemble The Baltic Singers)
Saturday 17th September – form 12.00 to 16.00 Picnic at Cycling Track at Wojska Polskiego 246
(in the programme: American football match – Szczecin Hussars vs. Eberswalde Warriors, military historical presentations, pea soup for guests, games and other activities for children).
Monday 19th September at 17.00 – opening of SIS students art work exhibition in Książnica Pomorska.

LAB PRESENTATION M1 - M2
On Tuesday 20th September during last two blocks, M1 and M2 classes are going to Zachodzniopomorski Uniwersytet Technologiczny for a laboratory presentation of biotechnological technique applications (like DNA isolation). The presentation is a part of XI West Pomeranian Science Festival.
PRIMARY- BALLET
On Tuesday, 20th September the pupils from P2-P6 will go the Opera House in Szczecin to watch a ballet performance entitled “In the Land of Fairy Tales”. Please note that this is an obligatory trip. We will start at 10.15 and the performance will start at 11 o`clock. We will be back at school around 13.00.
P5 FITNESS PICNIC
On Wednesday, 21st September (block 4) the P5 students are going to have a fitness picnic in the nearby park in connection with the IPC unit “Fir For Life”. We warmly invite the P5 parents to join us there to take part in a range of physical activities and enjoy a picnic of healthy food. A fitness picnic is a wonderful way to get outdoors and enjoy the last days of warm sun, as well as share your favourite recipes for healthy food. We hope you can join us.
INSURANCE - REMINDER
The school is offering insurance as it did last year – the yearly fee per child is: 36 PLN. Insurance covers accidents, injuries, broken bones and hospital services. It operates 24 hours a day, at school and outside the school, in the territory of Poland. The money should be paid to the office by Tuesday 27th September. The insurance will be valid from 1st October 2011 to 30th September 2012.
If your child has private insurance which covers accidents and you don’t want to use the school offer please send us an e-mail or bring such information on paper to the SIS Office.
